¿Qué es Micro conversion?

A small action that signals progress toward a main goal, like a newsletter signup, pricing page view, or video watch.

A micro conversion is a small completed action that signals movement toward your primary goal without being the goal itself: a newsletter signup, a pricing page visit, a spec sheet download, watching a demo video. If the macro conversion is the sale, micro conversions are the steps that predict it.

They matter most where macro conversions are rare. A B2B site closing five deals a month cannot learn anything week-to-week from five data points, but it can learn plenty from two hundred pricing page visits and forty demo video plays. Micro conversions give low-volume sites enough signal to compare channels, test pages, and spot problems early. The risk is goal displacement: optimizing a micro conversion in ways that hurt the macro one, like a popup that inflates newsletter signups while driving away buyers. Periodically confirm that your micro conversions still correlate with eventual revenue.

Track them as events, and use them as intermediate steps in your funnels so you can see where momentum stalls.
