Cookie Policy
The cookies Analyse uses on analyse.net — sign-in, integration flows, optional advertising, and partner attribution — and when we ask for consent.
Last updated: July 8, 2026
The short version
Analyse does not use analytics or advertising cookies on customer websites — the tracking script is cookieless. On analyse.net itself we set a small number of cookies: strictly necessary ones for sign-in and integrations, and — only with your consent where the law requires it — cookies for measuring our own ads and crediting partner referral links.
Cookies we set
| Cookie | Purpose | Duration | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|
session | Keeps you signed in to your account. HTTP-only signed token; set only when you sign in. | 7 days | Not required (strictly necessary) |
oauth_state | Protects the “Sign in with Google” flow against cross-site request forgery. | 10 minutes | Not required |
oauth_intent | Remembers whether a Google flow is sign-in or account linking. | 10 minutes | Not required |
oauth_link_user | Identifies which account a provider is being linked to. | 10 minutes | Not required |
gsc_oauth_state | Protects the Google Search Console connection flow against CSRF. | 10 minutes | Not required |
gsc_return_to | Returns you to the page you started from after connecting Search Console. | 10 minutes | Not required |
analyse_marketing_consent | Stores whether you accepted or declined advertising measurement cookies. | 180 days | Set by your choice in the consent banner |
analyse_referral_consent | Stores whether you accepted or declined partner attribution cookies. | 180 days | Set by your choice in the consent banner |
analyse_ref | Credits a partner when you subscribe after visiting their referral link (/r/<code>). | 90 days | Required in the EU/EEA/UK before we set it; not required elsewhere |
If you never sign in and never accept optional cookies, only the short-lived OAuth/GSC flow cookies may appear while you complete those flows.
When we show a consent banner
In the EU, EEA, and UK we ask for opt-in consent before:
- loading advertising pixels (Google Ads, Meta, Reddit), and
- setting the
analyse_refpartner attribution cookie when you arrive via a referral link.
Declining optional cookies does not affect signing in or using the product. If you decline the attribution cookie, a partner discount linked to that visit may not apply.
Outside those regions, advertising pixels may load without a prompt and the attribution cookie may be set when you visit a valid partner link.
Websites that use Analyse
The Analyse tracking script that our customers install on their websites is cookieless: it sets no cookies and stores nothing on visitors' devices.
Managing cookies
You can view, block, or delete cookies in your browser settings. Deleting the session cookie signs you out. Deleting analyse_ref means a partner referral from that browser session may no longer be credited.
Changes and contact
If the cookies we use change, we update this page and the date at the top. Questions? Email [email protected].
