什么是Entry page?

The first page a visitor sees in a session. Entry pages show where traffic actually arrives, which is often not the homepage.

An entry page is the first page of a session, whatever a visitor happened to arrive on. On any site with search traffic, entry pages are scattered across the whole site: blog posts, docs pages, and product pages all serve as front doors, and the homepage is often a minority entrance.

That reality has design consequences. Every significant entry page is making a first impression on someone who has zero context, so it needs to orient them (who is this site, what is this page) and give them somewhere to go next. An entry-pages report sorted by volume, with bounce rate alongside, is one of the highest-yield reports in analytics: a high-traffic entry page with a terrible bounce rate is a specific, fixable problem, usually a mismatch between what the visitor searched for and what the page delivers.

Entry page is a role within a session, while landing page usually means a page deliberately built for arrivals from a campaign. Every landing page is an entry page; most entry pages were never designed to be.
