Mikä on Index?

The index is a search engine's database of pages it has crawled, processed, and stored for retrieval. When someone searches, the engine ranks pages from its index; a page not in the index cannot rank for anything, no matter how good it is.

Crawled does not guarantee indexed. Google routinely declines to index pages it judges thin, duplicative, or low value, which Search Console reports as "Crawled - currently not indexed", an increasingly common status for large or templated sites. Pages are also excluded by an accidental noindex tag (often left over from staging) or by canonical tags pointing elsewhere. The diagnostic path: use Search Console's URL inspection to see a page's exact status, check for noindex and canonical issues, and if the page is technically fine but still excluded, the fix is usually making the content more substantial or consolidating overlapping pages.
