Is Cloudflare Web Analytics really free?
Yes, completely, with a Cloudflare account. That is its whole pitch, and as a zero-cost baseline it is hard to argue with. The limits are in the reporting, which stays very basic by design.
What does Analyse add over Cloudflare Web Analytics?
Custom events, multi-step funnels, retention, and live segments on the base plan, plus an AI copilot, Search Console insights, rank tracking, and AI blog posts. Cloudflare offers none of those at any price.
Are both privacy-friendly?
Yes. Both are cookieless and collect no personal data, so neither needs a consent banner. Analyse additionally hosts all data in the EU and gives you retention controls; Cloudflare does not.
Can I run both at once?
Yes, and it is a sensible way to evaluate. Both scripts are light, so keep Cloudflare's beacon as a second opinion while Analyse fills in the events, funnels, and search data.
