Τι είναι Cookieless analytics;

Web analytics that counts visitors without storing cookies or identifiers on their devices, which is what removes the consent banner requirement.

Cookieless analytics measures your traffic without storing cookies or any similar identifier on the visitor's device. Instead of labeling each visitor with a persistent ID, the server groups pageviews into sessions using short-lived, non-reversible tokens derived from connection attributes, then discards the linkable parts. Nothing on the device, nothing to look a person up with later.

The consequence people care about: storing identifiers on a device requires consent under European ePrivacy rules, so avoiding them is what lets a site drop the consent banner for analytics. That is also an accuracy story, since cookie-based tools silently lose the 30 to 60 percent of visitors who reject or never answer the prompt. The honest trade-off is recognition over time: without a durable ID, anonymous visitors cannot be recognized across devices or across months, so long-window anonymous retention and remarketing audiences are off the table.

Note that cookieless is not automatically privacy-friendly; a tool can skip cookies and fingerprint aggressively instead, which regulators treat the same way. The cookieless analytics guide covers how the counting works and when the trade-off makes sense.
